Michael Jordan


Michael Jordan was born in Brooklyn, New York. His parents, James and Delores Jordan, moved his family to Wilmington, North Carolina when Michael was very young. Michael loved sports and enjoyed playing baseball, football and basketball. He played with his older brother, Larry. Larry always beat Michael. Michael Jordan worked hard every day to try and beat his brother. Michael went to college at the University of North Carolina. He scored the winning basket at the 1982 NCAA Championship game. Jordan left college in 1984 to enter the NBA. He became a very good NBA player. Michael Jordan played basketball with the Dream Team in the 1992 Summer Olympics. The team won a gold medal. Michael Jordan continued to play basketball until he retired. He played baseball with the White Sox for one season, and returned to basketball in 1995. Michael Jordan was one of the greatest players to ever play in the NBA.
